Theresa Krenitsky Obituary

Theresa Marie Krenitsky, 84, a lifelong resident of Peckville, died Wednesday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the wife of Theodore "Ted" Krenitsky, who died in 1989.

Theresa was the daughter of the late George and Edith Konrad Sherota and attended Holy Ghost Parochial School in Olyphant and Blakely High School. She was a longtime member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olyphant.

Theresa was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who lived for her family. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, making wreaths and making floral arrangements. She was a born shopper and loved to go shopping both locally and on bus trips.

Theresa's family would like to thank the ICU, 6th floor and 9th floor staff at the Regional Hospital for their excellent nursing care and compassion.

Surviving are her son, Alan Krenitsky and wife, Patricia, Scranton; her daughter, Diane Krenitsky-Szewczyk, Peckville; four grandchildren, Sara Krenitsky; Melissa Campbell and husband, Mike; Matthew Krenitsky and wife, Janelle; and Adam Szewczyk; two brothers, Elmer Sherota and wife, Nancy, Columbus, Ohio; and Norman Sherota, Peckville; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her son, David T. Krenitsky; and two sisters, Edith Bevilacqua and Florence Sherota.

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Divine Liturgy at noon in SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, River Street, Olyphant. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville.

Relatives and friends may call Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., with Parastas at 4 p.m.
