Eugene Ruddy Obituary
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Albert and Helen Loftus Ruddy, he attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. A graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and, before retirement, was a customer service representative for US Airways.
Surviving are a daughter, Rema Cole, Daytona Beach, Fla.; four sons, Eugene, West Palm Beach, Fla.; John, Houston; Jerry, Cedar Park, Texas; and Glenn, Carbondale; two sisters, Barbara Solomon and Mary Ruggiero, both of Carbondale; two brothers, Thomas, Carbondale; and Joseph, Long Island, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Nakonechni and Margaret Tancredo; and four brothers, Albert, Patrick, Robert and William.
The funeral will be Friday from the Brennan and Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
