It is difficult to put words to the feelings I am now experiencing. So many of the happiest memories of my "growing up" days involve "Aunt Ceil and Uncle Tony", especially the highjinks played by Dad and Uncle Tony when one or the other wasn't home at the time of a visit. The time the Matalas left the old radiator blocking the front door on Washington Avenue always brings a smile to my face( Mom and Dad knew that we had a visit from Aunt Ceil and Uncle Tony). There has not been a day since Mom died that I have not thought of my Godmother and said a prayer for her well-being. I think the personal heartache that came with Donny's accident made me become so wrapped up in my own "troubles" to cause me to lose contact (except for the exchange of Christmas cards). I am sorry for that; and I will continue to have the entire Matala family in my prayers.
A loving Godson shares your sadness!
