Harvey Potter Obituary
Born in Binghamton, N.Y., son of Frances Ciganek Potter, Waymart, and the late John W. Potter, he was a graduate of Waymart High School and attended the State University of New York at Delhi. Harvey was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War era. Throughout his life, he was involved in the restaurant business.
Harvey was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Waymart and was currently serving as a member of Waymart Borough Council. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 542 and American Legion Post 889, both of Waymart.
He is also survived by two sons, Matthew Potter, Seattle, Wash.; and Jake Potter and wife, Teri, Henderson, Colo.; a brother, Charles Potter, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Kylie Ann; his former wife, Kristine Potter; his best friend, Jim Owens; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Calvary United Methodist Church, 151 Belmont St., Waymart, by Pastor Wendy D'Agostino. Interment at a later date in Gelatt Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church or a veteran's charity of the donor's choice.

Fran & Family, So saddened to read of Harvey's passing. I saw him when I was over Dunmore for treatment. So glad we got to visit. I believe our Classmates will agree we all had a good times at Waymart High. I'm sure we all have wonderful memories of Harvey. He will be greatly missed. Thoughts and Prayers to all.

I am so sorry to read about Harvey's passing. He was a long time family friend and I always looked forward to running into him when I was in town. One of the few that has gotten away with calling me "Krissy"!
