Carolyn Balla Obituary

Carolyn Sue Balla Buel Township Carolyn Sue Balla, 59, of Buel Township, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Port Huron Hospital. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on Wednesday, September 10, 1952, the daughter of Roy and the late Janice (Stambaugh) Daniel. Her marriage to Richard Balla was November 22, 1969, in Speaker Township. Carolyn was a cook for Croswell-Lexington Schools for 22 years. She was a #1 fan of Alan Jackson and enjoyed attending the CMT Music Festival in Nashville with her daughters and friends for many years. She loved her trips to Florida to see her family. Surviving in addition to Richard, her husband of 41 years, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Christy (Rodney) Gordon of Buel Township, Julie (Patrick) Rennie of Croswell; four grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Samantha, and Kolton; her father, Roy Daniel of Florida; siblings, Dave (Pat), Rick, Rob (Jill), and Kim Daniel, and Diana (Chris) Agathos, all of Florida, and Roy Allen Daniel of Colorado as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friend Pam Brown and many other friends. Her family honors the memory of Carolyn and invites you to visit and share memories Tuesday 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Pastor Jerry Griggs of Carsonville-McGregor United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.
