Richard Tomczyk Obituary
Croswell
Richard Tomczyk, Croswell, age 83, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Port Huron, to join his loving wife Yvonne.
He was born October 21, 1930 on the family farm to John and Katherine Tomczyk. He and Yvonne Burke were married June 11, 1955 in Croswell. She died May 31, 1997.
Richard farmed the family farm and orchard his entire life and remained on the farm until his passing. Richard was also a real estate agent. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed by his children Richard, Jr. of Berwick, PA, Bryan of Hastings, Kimberly Tomczyk of Croswell and Christopher of Hastings and five grandchildren Katherine, Richard III, Kristiana, Emily Ann and Theodore; and a special family friend Ace Heifner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Chester and Ralph "Henry", a beloved uncle Lawrence Barabasz and a granddaughter Sasha Yvonne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Ave Maria Parish-St. Denis Catholic Church, Lexington. The Rev. Donald Eppenbrock will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Croswell
Friends may call at the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington from 2 to 9 PM Tuesday and 9:30 to 10:30 AM Wednesday. A vigil service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday.

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a great guy. Always enjoyed going to the farm to get fruit and veggies and good conversations.

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I remember the joy and laughter He and his wife brought to our house. They were both good friends. Our sympathy to their children.
