Lucille Brendle Obituary

BURLINGTON - Lucille Gammon Brendle, 76, of Delaney Drive, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 at the Hospice Home following a short illness.
She was the wife of the late Ray M. Brendle and was born October 26, 1935 in Johnson City, Tenn. to the late Samuel Dewitt and Sarah Catherine Carder Gouge.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Mitchell and her husband Cecil of Burlington; sons, Kent Gammon and his wife Roberta of Whitsett, Ronald Gammon Jr. and his wife Cathy of Smithfield and Mark Gammon and his wife Myra of Apex; grandchildren, Stephanie Smith, Chris Gammon and wife Missy, Matt Gammon, Cameron Gammon, Drew Gammon, Courtland Gammon and Madison Gammon; great- grandchildren, Logan Smith and Kaitlyn Smith; sisters, Greta Dabbs, Libby Brown and Linda Joiner and her husband Larry.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald James Gammon and Ray M. Brendle; and herparents.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Howard Thompson. Interment will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. prior to the service and at other times at the home of Kent Gammon.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
