Norma Hurdle Obituary

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Norma Evans Hurdle, 79, of 1307 Cleveland Ave., Burlington, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington after four years of failing health and three days of critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Hurdle was the wife of 61 years to Thomas J. Hurdle, who survives, and the daughter of the late Bob Evans and the late Cora Loy Evans.
Mrs. Hurdle was a lifelong homemaker who loved to cook and take care of her family. She loved animals and children.
In addition to her husband, Thomas, of the home, she is survived by her daughter, Deborah Allen of Gibsonville; two grandchildren, Brad Rimmer and his friend, Melissa Bruner, of Burlington; Janie Bourne and her husband, Bobby, of South Hill, Va.; a great-granddaughter, Ava Bourne, and a brother, Richard Evans, of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy E. Wood and a brother, David G. Evans.
The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 1, from 10:00 until 11 a.m. at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Al Trotter. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
