Tom Bailey Obituary
GRAHAM - Mr. Tom Bailey, 67, of 5023 South N.C. 87, Graham died at his residence on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 1:10 a.m. following two years declining health and one month critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Nancy Dorsett Bailey, who survives, and the son of David Henry Bailey and Dora Elizabeth Williams Bailey, both deceased. He was the owner of Tom Bailey's Pony Express Western Store and Tom Bailey's Saddle Company. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Paint Horse Association.
Mr. Bailey attended Hico Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Carol Bailey and Kim B. Pergerson and husband Brad, all of Graham; six grandchildren, Brandon Thomas Crochet, Lisa Crochet, Cody Crochet, Makayla Pergerson, Logan Pergerson and Addison Pergerson; and one sister, Betty Crabtree of Graham.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Bailey.
The funeral service will be conducted at Hico Baptist Church on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Denny Wall. Burial will follow at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Years ago Tom used to trade horses with my Pawpaw Otto Williams and his best friend Mr. Ed York. I will never forget the good times we had showing horses and just dropping by to see what Tom had new...Condolences to Kim too - her husband and his brother used to work with my husband.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of Tom's death. I know you will not remember me, but we all use to show horses many years ago. I have been at your store several times and it was always a pleasure of just standing around talking to the both of you.
