Mathew Setliff

Funeral services for Mr. Mathew Setliff will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Sharp United Pentecostal Church, Sharp, with Reverend Alex Hill officiating. Interment will be in Campbell Creek Cemetery, Sharp, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Setliff, age 62, of Sharp, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was a native of Flatwoods and a resident of Lena. He was a member of Sharp United Pentecostal Church. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Interstate Brands Corporation for the past 12 years.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War and was a Silver Star Recipient. He was a hard worker and loved to garden.

He is preceded in death his parents, Lee Ray and Eula Setliff; two sisters, Joy Faye George and Virginia Arnold; one grandchild, Hunter Hill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Pamela Free Setliff of Lena; one son, Stephen Setliff of Lena; two daughters, Karen Setliff of Lena, Heather Hill (Justin) of Boyce; two brothers, L.R. Setliff of Flatwoods, Lloyd Setliff (Annette) of DeQuincy; one sister, Carrie Phillips (Earl) of Flatwoods; one granddaughter, Haylee Hill.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Sharp United Pentecostal Church, Sharp, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.
