Katelyn Glenn Obituary
Services celebrating the life of Katelyn Marie "Katie Bug" Glenn will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, Calcasieu with Reverends Rob McLain and Calvin Robinson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, Calcasieu from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Katelyn 17, of Glenmora passed from this life Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Calcasieu. Katelyn was a senior at Bolton High School where she was a member of the Bolton Bruin Pride Marching Band. Katelyn never met a stranger and will truly be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donavan Glenn, Margaret Stokes Glenn and Betty Egli; great grandfather, Paw Paw B. Stokes.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Donald and Deanna Masters Glenn; sisters, Brianna Glenn and Olivia Glenn; grandparents, Dean Masters and Karen Poland and great grandmother, Maw Maw Cat Stokes; a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brett R. Masters, Billy Riley, Rick Slayter, D. J. Slayter, Charles Brown, Jarred Forbes, Michael Riley and Doug Glenn
Katelyn's final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
The Katelyn Glenn memorial fund has been set up at Capital One Bank, for anyone wishing to make memorial contributions.
