Kenneth Ray Keele

A Celebration of Life for Kenneth Ray Keele will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church, 763 Elmer Road, Elmer, Louisiana 71424 with Brother Rob McLane officiating under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Kenny, 61, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on September 8, 2016 in Hineston. He was born October 12, 1954 in Leesville to the union of Albert Ray Keele and Nina Vee Gaskin. He was a 1972 graduate of Anacoco High School and furthered his education by attending Louisiana Technical College in drafting and architect. Kenny retired from AFCO Industries December 2015 with 20 years of service. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for over 10 years, working with sound and media. Kenny was a hobbyist who loved to draw, using Bible verses with each piece of art. He made wooden art and cards for children, his friends and family, making toys, puzzles, ornaments and holiday crafts. Before attending New Hope Baptist Church, he was a member of Cedar View Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi for 10 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Allen Keele and stepmother, Pamela Lynn Womack.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 20 years, Nina Geneva "Ginnie" Keele of Glenmora; three sons, Jason Ray Keele of Pollock, Curtis Melder (Dee) of Lena and Michael Melder (Whitney) of Sugarland, Texas; seven granddaughters, Page Smith of Prairie DuRocher, Illinois, Hannah Keele of Sugarland, Texas, Sierra BeeBee of Lena, Emily Melder of Melder, Baylee Melder of Lena, Payton Melder and Aubree Melder both of Sugarland, Texas; one brother, Paul Lee Keele of Many; three sisters, Gloria "Glo" Strickland (Alvin) of Anacoco, Shannon Marie Meyers (Steven) of Anacoco, and Amanda Mae Johnson (David) of New Llano; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 2 p.m. until service time at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to: Celebrate Recovery - New Hope Baptist Church, 763 Elmer Road, Elmer, Louisiana 71424 in Kenneth R. Keele's memory.
