Lynnda Sasser Smith

Services for Mrs. Lynnda Sasser Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Camp 8 United Pentecostal Church with Brother Sam Russell and Brother Elbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Camp 8 United Pentecostal Church Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family requests that visitation be observed Monday at Camp 8 United Pentecostal Church from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Smith, 66, of Hineston, passed from this life, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at her residence.

Lynnda held many job titles during her lifetime; everything ranging from hotel management to being a register nurse from which she retired. Lynnda was a dedicated homemaker and very active in "F.L.O.", Fallen Linemen Organization. She was a doting wife, amazing mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Marcotte and Birdie Elaine McDowell Harris; brother, Robert Harvey Harris.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 26 years, Randy L. Smith; sons, Richard Otto Sasser, Jr., Michael Scott Sasser and wife, Jeanna; daughter, Amy Smith Dubea and husband, Chad; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Geree Gaar; brothers, John Harris, Jr and wife, Laurie, Ricky Harris and wife, April, Richard Marcotte, John Marcotte and Kerry Marcotte; sisters, Carolyn D. Harris, Marilyn J. Harris, B. G. Harris Pickering, Jewelia Marcotte DiGiovanni and husband, Tony and Melody Marcotte; step-mother, Geraldine Marcotte; grandchildren, Nikolas Cole Sasser, Karley Anne Smith, Tyler Sasser, Dylan Sasser, Joseph Michael Tassin, II; great grandchildren, Kohen Mann and Camdynn Sasser; host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorials may be made in Lynnda's name to P. O. Box 42, Hineston, LA 71438.
