Pauline Winegeart Melder

Funeral service for Pauline Winegeart Melder will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in the Harmony Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Johnson and Reverend Gabriel McCormick officiating. Committal service will follow in the Camp Ground Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Pauline, 81, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria with her family by her side. She was born March 25, 1936 in Glenmora to the union of John Winegeart and Edna Jeffers Winegeart. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and retired from Holloway Nursery after 18 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Winegeart; two sisters, Audrey Davis and Verla White.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her loving husband of 61 years, Joe C. Melder of Glenmora; one son, Joe Collin Melder, Jr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two daughters, Debora Bryson, her husband Timothy of Converse and Donna Melder, her partner Cynthia Wells of Birmingham, Alabama; one brother, Charles Winegeart of Glenmora; two sisters, Geraldine NesSmith of Ball and Elaine Birch of Orange, Texas; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Dale Bryson, Mike NesSmith, Charles Winegeart, Tim Bryson, Keith Miller, Joseph Melder, and Brent Winegeart.

Visitation will be held at the Harmony Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service in the church.
