Rhonda D. Martin

Funeral services for Rhonda D. Martin, 55, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Anacoco with Revs. D. R. Davis & Melton Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitation will be held from 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm, Friday, May 13, 2011, and Saturday, May 14th from 9:00 am until time of service at the church.

Rhonda, the daughter of Charles Victor Lounsberry and Mattie Nell Plummer was born on March 28, 1956, in Baton Rouge. She passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria. Rhonda was a member of First Baptist Church in Anacoco. She was a former sales rep for AAFES, Fort Polk and former owner of Martin's Pine Country Paint & Flooring. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School, and she loved to fish and hunt. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Nell Russell; father, Charles Lounsberry & grandmother, Katie Plummer. She is survived by her husband, Ricky L. Martin; son, Kristian Germann; step-sons, Ricky "Peanut" Martin and wife Sherri and Kenny Martin; brother, Allen Melancon and wife Nancy all of Anacoco; step-brothers, Steven Russell and Jason Russell; aunt, Donnie Parinee Layton of Anacoco; six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Anacoco First Baptist Church Vacation Bible School Orphan Fund.
