Serina Clark Obituary
Funeral services for Ms. Serina Clark will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with Revs. Roger Toney, Doug Westberry, Bob Galloway, & Jim Thomasee officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home.
Ms. Clark, age 37, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at her residence.
Serina was of the Pentecostal faith & a graduate of Calvary Christian Academy. As a child, Serina was a cancer survivor thanks to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. Serina enjoyed crafting & painting. She left a glowing effect on any room she walked into. She was truly a darling angel on loan from God.
Ms. Clark is preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Clark and her maternal grandfather, Rev. Van Westberry.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Shawn Taylor Clark of Pineville; her parents, Phillip & Diana VanSlyke of Pineville; her brothers, Brad VanSlyke (Joni) of Hineston, Cliff VanSlyke of Pineville, John David Gonzales-VanSlyke of Pineville; her paternal grandmother, Rachel VanSlyke of Pineville; her maternal grandmother, Ouida Westberry of Pineville; her niece, Alexis VanSlyke of Hineston; her nephews Jordan VanSlyke of Hineston & Jayce VanSlyke of Hineston, & a host of aunts, uncles & cousins.
A Viewing and visitation with the family will be Monday, August 22, 2016 at Rush Funeral Home in Pineville, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Bro, & Sis Vanslyke. I am so sorry for your loss. I was going to church when God healed her as a child. Then I would see her at the bank where I worked & we would talk a bit. So sweet. She is completely healed form all of it now with NO more pain. I'm kind of jealous. I am praying for you & your family.
