Anthony "Bo Bo" Stalsby

Funeral services for Mr. Anthony "Bo Bo" Stalsby will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale, with Reverends Greg Willis and Mike Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Cryer Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Stalsby, 76, of Elmer entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Naomi Heights Nursing Home, Alexandria.

He was a retired carpenter and loved to fish. He was a Baptist by faith and in September of 2015 he surrendered his life to the Lord. He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved his family with all his heart. To his grandchildren he was "Big Paw" or "Big Paw Paw" a name in which he took great joy.

Mr. Stalsby is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius "Bud" Stalsby and Emma Hebert Stalsby; one brother, Charles Murphy Stalsby and five sisters, Jewel Self, Hattie Faye Laird, Mary Lee Richmond, Hazel May Winn and Louise Thompson.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his two sons, Dwayne Stalsby and his wife, Patty, of Lafayette, Jeremy Stalsby and his wife, Jessica, of Elizabeth; two daughters, Monica Willis and her husband, Lloyd, Jr., of Pitkin, Debra Wilmore Rowles and her husband, Kirk, of Lecompte; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Those honored to serve at pallbearers are: Pete Strother, Waylon Pollard, Patrick Lee, Shannon Buxton, Sam Stalsby and Jordan Lee.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
