Funeral services for Michael Wayne "Mickey" Hussong will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 in the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Reverend James Vandergriff and Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Louisiana National Guard. Committal service will follow in Hampton Cemetery of Elizabeth under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Michael, 67, of Elizabeth, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the Grace Home at Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria with his loving family by his side. He was born September 20, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harold Ernest Hussong and Dorothy Elaine Melder Hussong. He was a Pentecostal by Faith. Michael was a graduate of Glenmora High School, followed by Sowela Tech College in Lake Charles. He served in the United States Navy, also, worked at the City Service in Lake Charles for years, later retiring from Taylor Energy Offshore. He loved to fish, hunt, and was a great LSU FAN! Mickey treasured his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Patricia Stewart.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife of 47 years, Margaret Sue Hussong of Elizabeth; two sons, Christopher Kevin (Janine) Hussong of Pitkin and Michael Seth (Amanda) of Elizabeth; one daughter, Falon Nicole (Lee) Fox of Glenmora; one brother, Richard Hussong of Oakdale; one sister, Twila (Keith) Tilley of Broussard; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Hussong, Jr., Joseph Hussong, Morgan Hussong, Braelyn McDaniel, Kelsey McDaniel, Brycton Hussong, Reid Parker Fox, Preston Ashworth, Megan Ashworth, Jacelynn Bass, and Zachori Fox; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Shane Hussong, Adam Hussong, Caleab Hussong, Colton Smith, Ansel Myers, and Chris Bacon.

Visitation will begin Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel, then on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 8 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. in the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.
