Cleo Madeline Wright Tucker

Funeral services for Cleo Madeline Wright Tucker will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 in the New Hope Baptist Church in Elmer with Reverend Webb Robinson and Reverend Randall Ducote officiating. Committal service will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Cleo, 75, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born September 4, 1940 in Lecompte to Weston Booster and Mamie "Sook" Goodman Wright. Cleo graduated from Oak Hill High School. At an early age, she became a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Tucker; one brother, Carless Wright; and one sister, Joann Lachney.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: two sons, Ricky Tucker of Pineville and Gary Tucker of Alexandria; two daughters, Vicky Dubroc of Mobile, Alabama and Rhonda Tucker of Alexandria; one brother, Randy Wright of Elmer; two sisters, Mit Harrington of Alexandria and Molly Dousay of Elmer; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, in the New Hope Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.

John called this morning and told me that Cleo had died last night. Hurt my heart but she is in Heaven and well. She was a wonderful friend and I loved her and her children very much. Will miss her but one day will see her again!!! Jackie Barton
