Funeral service for Rustin Reid Bass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October, 22, 2015 in the New Hope Baptist Church with Brother Rob McLane officiating. Committal service will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Calcasieu under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Rustin, 38, of Calcasieu, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 17, 2015 in Hineston. He was born April 7, 1977 in Alexandria to the union of Donald Clayton Bass and Wanda Faye McGlothlin Bass. He was a 1996 graduate from Oak Hill High School and a Baptist by Faith. Rustin was loved by all that knew him and he was a joy just being around. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Faye Bass; his paternal grandparents, Buck & Arbelle Bass; and his maternal grandfather, Earnest McGlothlin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his father, Don Bass of Calcasieu; his twin brother, Jason Bass of Portland, Michigan; four sisters, Julie Cross of Calcasieu, Amy Powell of Tioga, Abbey Autin of Holloway, and Lynn Lofton of Pollock; his maternal grandmother, Joy McGlothlin of Alexandria; three nephews; six nieces; two great nieces; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Derrick Lofton, Daniel Stokes, Scott Cross, Clint Cross, Rex Rosier, and Allen Winegeart.

Visitation will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., then on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. in the church.
