Funeral services for Rodney "Iron Head" Carroll Teal will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in the Union Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Calvin Robinson and Reverend Troy Doyle officiating. Committal service will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Rodney, 58, of Hineston, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born February 8, 1957 in Alexandria to the union of Carroll Teal and Jewel Jeanette Johnson Teal. In 1976, Rodney graduated from the Oak Hill High School. He was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. For many years, he worked as a logger, on the pipeline, and was heavy equipment operator. Rodney loved music and enjoyed singing with his family. When he was unable to work, he liked taking care of his chickens and hogs. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his father, Reverend Carroll Teal and one son, Jamie Ray.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Brandy Leanne Smith Teal of Hineston; three sons, Dusty (Katelyn) Dousay of LaCamp, Rocky (Jamie) Teal and Stoney Teal all of Hineston; one daughter, Cheyenne Teal of Hineston; his mother Jewel Jeanette Teal of Hineston; one brother, Roland (Jackie) Teal of Hineston; two sisters, Carolyn Teal (Neil) Guidry of Hineston and Yolanda Teal of Alexandria; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Rocky Teal, Dusty Dousay, Stoney Teal, Rodney Wells, Roland Teal, and Justin Thompson. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Hank Fee, Neil Guidry, Mason Ray, Tanner Teal, R. C. Hagan, and Blake McKenzie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 in the Union Hill Baptist Church from 5 p.m. until time of service of Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in the church at 10 a.m.
