Memorial services for Lt. Col. Jimmie M. Alexander, USAF, Retired were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Alexandria with Dr. Chris Thacker officiating.
Mr. Jimmie Alexander, 83, of Boyce passed from this life, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Lt. Col. Jimmie Alexander proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 25 years, during his service he served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the 23rd Tactical Fighter Wing stationed at England Air Force Base. He was a member of the local order of Daedalians and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 614, where he sponsored the Young Eagles Program. Jim was a member and deacon at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Family members who cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Maurine Fenley Alexander; son, Steve Alexander and wife, June; daughters, Carol Alexander and Tracy Alexander Flynn; grandchildren, Chris Kavanagh, Michael Kavanagh, Grant Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Amy Flynn and Alex Flynn; great grandchild, Emileigh Kavanagh.

I am so sorry to hear that Jimmie had passed away.
I met Jimmie through the Moose Lodge, he was a very kind man and super nice. I remember went he offered to fly my husband and I to Houston any time of the day or night if we needed. My thoughts and prayers will be with y'all today and weeks to come.
