Deborah Gerrish Obituary

Deborah Jean Gerrish, 57, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, after a four-year-long battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Lester Gerrish.
Born on Nov. 20, 1953, in Westerly to Fanny Sunderland and the late William Hunt, she graduated from Chariho High School, and she was a school bus driver for over 30 years.
Mrs. Gerrish is survived by two daughters, Leah (Gerrish) Ward and her husband, Kevin, and Stephanie (Gerrish) Bursell and her husband, Gregory, all of Hopkinton. She also leaves behind a godson, Gage Gerrish of Charlestown, and a goddaughter, Jodie (Hunt) Smith of Westerly; nine brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 143 Main St., Wakefield, RI 02879.
