India O'Neil Obituary
She is survived by her parents Robert and Lisa O'Neil, her brother Evan and her sister Kengi as well as her grandmother, Helen. She also leaves behind her beloved Auntie Terri, Uncles Martin, Jim, Keven and Aunt Kaela along with many more aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighborhood family. The memory of her bright smile, quick wit and sunny disposition will never be forgotten. Our broken hearts will forever feel the loss and emptiness of her absence.
Services will be private. S. R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Chariho Task Force, P.O. Box 611, Wyoming, R.I. 02898.

When I read her name, the image immediately popped into my head of the beautiful little girl with the blonde ringlets! I used to work at Hope Valley School and some kids are so special they stay with you always. So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

So sorry for your loss, I would always play against her in softball and she was so good I wished I could of been that good she was so bright so beautiful and so full of joy. I never met your daughter but express my gratitude for your painful honesty regarding her death from addiction. It is a parents worst nightmare come true. Please know how sorry all parents of addicted children are for your loss. By being so candid you may save a life and save another parent from experiencing the pain you are suffering. Please reach out to groups dedicated for just such a loss. It will help with your grief. Again, I am so deeply sorry.

I had the pleasure of having India on my showcase softball team. Your daughter - your sister - your family member - your friend, was a pure joy to coach. Her positive nature, friendly smile and laughter was a joy; especially at 8:00am when the other girls were less than happy to be awake. To the O'neil family, I am so sorry for your loss. India was one of my favorite people in high school. She brought light to the softball team and comedy to the softball field. She brightened every one's day and left a mark on every person she met. I will remember Indy for the goofy, wild, crazy, heartwarming personality she had. Rob, Lisa , Evan and Kenji, I am so sorry for your loss. I am grateful that I got to know India so well as a young child, I keep replaying the years that I babysat and all the fun we had everyday. We will always remember India Rose as a loving, clever & fun-loving girl. She was a fearless traveler as a toddler and she amazed us at every turn on our tour of Ireland in 1999!

I don't personally know your family but I do know your pain. I lost my husband to his addiction October 30..2016. It's a very different kind of grief with many layers..but sadly we are a large community..the survivors, and there are a great many resources available to us..stay strong and may your beautiful girl rest in peace.

Paige, Naomi and I are terribly heartbroken over your passing. Baby girl you were the 'sister and daughter from another mother' You taught us many unique and different things: there are an infinite number of ways to cook with jimmis/sprinkles. Winter was a pants optional season. Hairstyle was best left to the wind.
It hurts to know you have passed on and your journey came to end but we will carry you in our hearts and remember how much we loved you. We'll remember your beautifully intense smile, insastiable curiosity and spunky rebelliousness until our end, and maybe, hopefully... one day...we'll see you on the otherside of the softball diamond.
