Oh Dear Lord....please take good care of Ray. He was a wonderful friend to me, so much time has passed & I am sad to say that I have been trying to find him for several months now. My oldest son, Ryan has never forgotten him or the times we spent together. Ryan has been asking me to find him. I don't know how to tell my boy that I finally have found Ray or that we will never have the chance to see him again. I am so very sad for his family, especially his son Ethan. The last time I spent any time with Ray his little guy was just over 2 yrs. & the dedication & devotion he had for Ethan was very clear. My heart, prayers & deepest sympathy goes out to Ethan, his brother Michael ( @ least that is how Ray refferred to Michael) also his father Michael who did not hesitate to help me through some tough times. I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a wonderful, caring, life loving soul. I wish I could make it to his funeral. I am most deffinately there in spirit. God Bless All. Now little Ethan has a real angel to watch over him, I am sure of that. I would also like to add...if his father Michael or "brother" Michael are reading this, PLEASE contact us. We would love to hear from you. Again....God Bless ALL. Love & Peace be with you.

I feel so honored to have known Ray and witnessed such love and devotion he had for Ethan. I had great respect for the man he was and the man he wanted Ethan to become. I know God has plans for everything, and we can't possibly understand them all.... so all I can do is continue to believe what the Bible tells me, as Ray did too, to grieve with hope, and to trust in the Lord with all my heart. I am so glad I was able to worship with him here on earth, and will worship with him again someday.

Dear Mike, Robin, and Ray’s entire Family,

I’ve known Mike and Robin a long time! Tho’ it’s been a while, we’ve shared fun times, stories, and general office conversation over many years.

I am at a complete loss for what to say. Of course, I was at a complete loss when I lost my mom...never experienced a hole in my life that size...with that awful impact, and, so...I believe I understand, to some degree, the hole left behind... regardless forewarning...by anyone so loved; and the grief, it will come...and it will linger... seeming unbearable at times. Then it will diminish, so slowly as to not even be noticeable. Never believe it is unnecessary... should be “shrugged off”. Grief is most necessary and must be indulged; it can, however, be tempered just a wee bit by the innate knowledge that the depth of your grief is, too, a yardstick of the love you shared...and the positive impact this life had on yours!

And, so I pray this helps some wee bit...to allow... enable…that grief! Know I am definitely keepin’ y’all in fond prayers that Christ hold you close in this trying time!

When my mother died, even after a years-long battle with cancer, I was shattered by the loss…inconsolable…she was my mentor! BUT, "If your faith assures you she's in heaven, then what are the tears all about?!?" I hold eternity with God a precious, hard-won, and cherished prize...but... in the interim, the answer lies below...and believe me...I understand the tears often are not nearly as casual as this implies!

SELFISH TEARS
(I eulogize my beloved mother - March, 1989)

Today we cry...must admit they're selfish tears.
You see...our faith assures your journey's done.
But it's not for you we mourn, at all, my dear;
It's for those of us you've left behind...alone!!!

We share your joy...share your happiness at rest,
Your painful fears now for forever stilled.
You've fought the good fight, passed the final test,
But you've left behind a hole that can't be filled!!!

So, until we each rejoin you some someday,
And, while your memory buoys us through those years,
We'll miss you...but continue on our way,
And, from time to time, we'll cry our selfish tears!!!

Ray Hamilton (c) March 19, 1989

Our sincerest condolences...sympathetic prayers,
