Donily,
Last Monday evening, I did move to adjourn the Hopkinton Town Council Meeting in memory of Charlie and two others. The video should be on the town web site and You Tube if not know soon. Also in time later the minutes should online. A small gesture for him. But I and others were fortunate he passed our way.
Respectfully,
Scott

I am so sorry to read of Charlie's passing. It doesn't seem that long ago we saw each other in the bakery and spoke about how settled in both of you were getting at the pond house. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I always enjoyed working with Charlie, a great guy. In later years I would ask when he was going to retire . . . he would just laugh . . . he seemed to always enjoy what he was doing.

Hi Donily,

So sorry for your loss. This is Lin (from URI, student teaching and lots of interesting times) A friend told me about Charlie's passing and it has triggered many memories. I am switching to Kindergarten after spending many years in third grade and coordianting an enrichment program in Exeter West Greenwich Schools. I stayed home with my two boys until the youngest was in third grade and now have three wonderful grand girls. Glad you have your family to help you and all kinds of good thoughts are being sent your way.

Donily,
My regards to you and your family. I enjoyed knowing Charlie, and after high school I did not see him really at all. I enjoyed talking with him at our high school reunion at The Pavilion Restaurant in Ashaway, the last time I saw you both. His aunt Dorothy Gardiner was so proud of him! Many of us were fortunate he passed our lives.
I was one of the fortunate ones.
Charlie was a man of accomplishment. No surprise at all from when we were younger. Charlie enjoyed laughing too but he was a multi-faceted person.
I plan to adjourn the next Hopkinton Town Council meeting in his memory. A small gesture for someone that will be missed.
Respectfully,
Scott

I was so sorry to hear that Charlie had passed away. Charlie and I were in school together from K-12. Donily, my heart breaks for you and for your children and grandchildren. Peggy, my heart also breaks for you, I know Charlie was your only brother. May God wrap His arms of love around all of Charlie's family and comfort you with memories of happy days spent with Charlie. May Charlie rest well in the arms of God. So long, childhood friend, until we meet again.

I fondly remember hearing Charlie's laugh over all the others as I gave a presentation. It was material he knew by heart but sat like he'd never heard it before. There is always that one person in the audience that you come back to in a speech and Charlie was mine. He was so much fun to work with and so thoughtful in his feedback afterward. He made me and others better simply by being there. Thanks, my friend. You will be missed.
