Robert Howard Obituary

Robert Charles Howard Robert Charles Howard (Bob) passed way the morning of April 20th. He was born July 14th, 1945 here in Eureka. He is survived by his wife Claudeene, brother John Wayne Howard and wife Patricia, his three step children Jody LeClere, Jerry and Larry Hathcock, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob was a man of great faith. He was a member of the Eureka Seventh - day Adventist church. Bob was known for his work on many projects for the church and Redwood Area Campground at Redcrest. His reputation for helping anyone in need in many ways, especially if it involved welding, was country wide. In his early years he was an avid fisherman. He loved to backpack, loved history, ghost towns and photography. For 33 years, he was employed by the California Department of Forestry (Cal - Fire) during that time; he worked at CDF stations in Trinidad, Honeydew, the Kneeland airport and the Fortuna Station. His wife Claudeene testifies that he was the most noble, honest, generous, and full of integrity person she ever knew. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the Eureka Seventh - day Adventist Church located at 4251 F street in Eureka. So sorry to hear of Bobs passing. I sometimes provided manpower when Bob built the helicopter trolley at the airbase. I saw Bob at Costco a couple years ago and had a pleasant conversation. He will be missed.

Claudeen, I'm so sorry - none of us knew it would come so quickly. I can't wait for the Resurrection morning, when we'll be reunited, and neither Bob, nor Mom will be in pain anymore. I love you. Lily
