Sherry Ferraro Obituary

June 7, 1965- November 10, 2010 Sherry Marie Ferraro passed away on November 10th 2010 in Eureka California from natural causes. She was born in Vancouver Washington to George A Gurnea and Sharon Louise Hunt on June 7, 1965. She moved to Eureka California in 1966 and attended Eureka area schools, graduating in 1982 from Eureka High School. She spent two years in the U.S. Army specializing in Otolaryngology. Sherry attened College of the Redwoods and earned an AA degree in Legal Assistency in 2002. Combining her medical and legal training, she worked for the "Let Them Hear Foundation" attaining approval of cochlear implants for children around the United States. Sherry loved to laugh and was so very social that she truely "never new a stranger". Sherry was married twice. She produced the loves of her life. her children, James Michael White and Jamie Marie White. Sherry was preceded in death by her father George A Gurnea and her brother Kieth Young. She is survived by her mother Sharon Louise (Hunt) Vroman, her stepfathers Trueman E. Vroman and Dudley R. Young, her three sisters Misty Vroman-Nagy, Michelle Vroman-Hood, Leah Williams, and all their families, her two children, James Michael White (age 6) and Jamie Marie White (age 3), her special lifelong friends John Hoey, Dean Stark, Joe Ferraro, Jim White, Joe George, and an endless list of others. I loved you the minute I knew I was pregnant. I loved you the minute you were born. Then I saw your face and fell in love some more. You were only a minute old but I knew I would die for you and to this day I still would. When you choose to have a child you make a conscious decision to allow your heart to walk around outside of your body. Rest in peace sweet baby.. Regretfully, there were things unsaid, things unheard, and things undone for a passing so unexpected. Thank you for the joyous laughter we shared when we were together. May your journey into the hereafter be peaceful and accasionally humerous at the antics of us clowns you left behind. Love Daddy Trueman

Sherry was 6 years old when we moved in next door. When she was baptized we stood as her godparents.
She was a most willful child, impatient to understand the world.
That world is now saddened by her passing.
We met unexpectedly a few months ago and I’m thankful now that we spent a few precious moments talking, and that I had a chance to hug her and tell her I love her. We will miss her smile.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Sharon, Trueman, Dudley, her sisters, and to all who loved her.

I may not have seen Sherry in many years, but I too remember her from EHS. I had forgotten she was a Loggerette, but I remember now. She was always so happy and she made me laugh. I once ran into her several years after we graduated EHS and we reconnected like the old days! She made me laugh then too. I pray for peace for those she left behind. We'll always remember you Sherry, RIP.

Sherry will be missed by so many. Although EHS seems like so long ago I remember her kindness and laughter. I pray that her family and friends find the Lord's peace and comfort. He and the happy memories that you cherrish will sustain you until you, one day, see her again.

Rest in peace, Sherry. We were in Loggerettes at Eureka High school together back in 1979-1980. We had such a good time, dancing at the football games and traveling to Oregon for the cheerleading championships. She was a nice person and really funny, she used to tell me little jokes all the time!!! I had lost touch with her after graduation and saw her obituary yesterday. So sorry to hear about her passing, my condolences to the family.
