Earl Porter Obituary
He was born Nov. 28, 1941, in Barre, the son of Earl and Selena Porter.
He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1959.
Mr. Porter married Lorraine O'Connor July 17, 1961.
He worked as a line foreman for Washington Electric Co-op for 31 years, retiring in 1991.
He enjoyed summers at Joe's Pond and winters in Cape Coral.
Survivors include his wife, of Cabot and Cape Coral; daughter Karen Snyder, of Cape Coral, and son James, of Waterford; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The celebration of his life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. July 23 at the Canadian Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Vermont, 431 Pine St., Suite 214, Burlington, VT 05401 or at http://vermont.wish.org/.
Arrangements are by National Cremation Society, North Fort Myers, Florida.

Linda and I extend to the O'Connor and Porter families our deepest sympathies, many prayers, and many big HUGS over Phil's sudden passing. While Linda and I only met Lorraine and Phil once, at the home of Bobby and Yvette O'Connor, we have to tell you that their acceptance of us was exceptional, the food delicious, and the camaraderie exceptional. Phil will be missed by many. Love you, Lorraine.

Lorraine...Such a shock of Phil's passing! So many fond memories over the years at Joe's Pond and your homes in Cape Coral and all of our group's FL/VT get-togethers. Our group is growing smaller!
