Uncle Leland,
I know that we have not been in contact for so many, many years, but I want you to know that I have always loved you. I am so sorry that you have lost Velma. Please know that you are always in my heart. You have always been my special uncle who watched over Mom, Wayne, and me when times were really, really bad. I love you, you know that.

Velma invited LTC alumni to her home in Cabot for several summers, helping us keep the closeness of our Lyndon years. She was a founding member of our Manor Vail Committee. We will miss her. Bob and Shirley Kent

I will always be thankful for the incredible and loving restoration Velma was responsible for, of the Durant Cemetery. She restored the elegance and dignity to this historical cemetery which I will be the sixth generation of the Morrill family to be laid to rest in. When she was the caretaker of the cemetery it was always kept up and comforting to see that during my many visits there. Thank you, Velma.

Too many memories to know where to start. Leland, I am so sorry for your loss.
Velma was one of the most generous, loving, supportive and giving people I have ever met. Always looking for the good in people. She was "Grammy Velma" to my children and a mother figure to me. She and Leland came into my life at a time I needed them most, and I don't know where I would have been if not for their support.
Velma was a special blessing.
I wasn't ready for you to go.
