Words cannot express the sorrow. We can only find comfort in knowing that Arnold is in a better place and is no longer suffering. Some may have been blinded by Arnold’s hard exterior, but he was the kindest man you could ever know; an exceptional mentor and a dear friend. He was very passionate about his job and never settled for less than perfection. Arnold was the first person who really believed in me and took a chance in developing my career at Bank of America; for that, I’m truly grateful. I did my best to always make him proud and to live up to his expectations. I will cherish all of the great memories working the SYSMODS, the wonderful talks, and the sincere advice. My prayers are with the Overby family, extended family, and friends.

Anne -
So sorry to hear of your loss.
You and your families will be in my prayers as you adjust to life without Arnold. What a guy he was! Special memories of many meetings and sysmods with him. He could always be counted on to get the job done right but with humor.
I regret I will not be able to attend the services as we are rolling out a new operating system this weekend at the shipyard where I work now.
My love and blessings to each.

To Anne, and to Arnolds and Anne's families, nothing I can write can actually express what I am feeling, or for that matter relieve the feeling of loss shared by everyone. I would just like to say, however, that Arnold was a great guy, dedicated and steadfast, and when I pray, I will remember.

Arnold was a joy to work with and a great mentor. I can still hear him telling me to slow down and be patient. There was never a time I couldn't call him and get instant help. He will be greatly missed. Ann, please know my thoughts are with you and all of Arnold's family.

Anne,
I was so sorry to hear of Arnold's passing. You and the Overby family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have such fond memories, working with you and Arnold at BOFA over the years. The SYSMOD meetings and long weekend nights installing changes and the numerous security requests you worked for me. I know how difficult a loss of a loved one can be and only hope cancer can be eradicated in our lifetime.

You & I worked togerther side by side during the SYSMOD when I first arrived here in Richmond from California when NB acquired BOFA back in 1999. We became instant friend, your hard work and dedication to every small details of the changes / project that needed to done making sure everyting is fully operational and updated and ready to go. You are always available even on your days off. I remember that first year that you took the SYSMOD team to Ruth Chris for Christmas dinner (Diane Stroble, Chris Dowd, Joe Baysura, Bruce Hendricks) and you invited us for a get together at your new home in Ashland the following week and surprised us with a precious gift and I still have it to this day. I will surely missed you budd, Rodel [^;^] !!
