I only briefly knew Sammer for the three month contract I did at VCU in the fall of '10. My deepest condolences to his family and closest friends. I just learned of his passing yesterday when I attempted to reconnect with him on Facebook. Working with him was a pleasure, and we got to talk music as well as occupational interest. It's truly a shame that your future was cut so short Sammer. You were an intelligent nurse, with a lot to offer. I hope wherever you are now, you are content and the music is eternally splendid. Fare thee well and perhaps we'll cross celestial paths some at some point.

I want you all to know I am thinking about you and praying for you every day that you all will have some sort of comfort in knowing Sam is in a wonderful place now and is looking down on you every day. I hope that time will alow you to feel peace and heal the broken hearts that were caused by Sam being taken away too soon.

Your daddy loved you so very much. Ive heard so many stories about the fun times you guys had together. Know he is with you always in your heart and your memories. Anytime you want to talk to him look up to heaven and tell him everything you want to say he will hear you , I know he is watching over you every day. This still feels like it is a bad dream and we will all wake up and you will still be here with that contageous smile and shining bald head. The world is a sadder place without you. Its unfair that someone so bright, kind hearted and loving could be taken from us when there are so many bad people out there still walking the streets, it doesnt seem fair and never will. I just want to thank you for the 2 years I got to share my life with you and the years that followed that I was fortunate enough to have you as a friend. I can honestly say you made me a better person. you motivated me in ways that nobody ever has and taught me things that i will never forget. Thank you so much for helping me become a better person. To the Ballout family,
It is with deepest sympathy that I write this message today. I just realized last night as I was reading the Midlothian paper that it was my 5th grade student, Sammer Ballout, that was killed in that tragic car accident that I heard about on the news a week ago. Please know that I will keep you all in prayer especially Sammer's daughter, his parents, brother and extended family.
I remember Sammer at Beulah Elementary as an extremely polite, kind and happy boy. It is no surprise to me that he grew up to take care of others as a nurse. I just wish I could have seen him as an adult to let him know how very proud I am of the person he became.

May God give you strength and patience to overcome the tragic loss of Sammer. We are so saddened to learn of this calamity and how we wish we were in town to share the grief personally at the funeral.
Please know you are not alone grieving. ألله ???? ????? . This senseless accident that clipped Sammer in his prime is hard to swallow.

I was so sadden to hear the news of Sam...he came to my office this week and we were talking about him starting school this August and persuing his dream to become a Nurse Anesthetist here at VCU. I became very close to Sam in his preparation for school and I will truly miss him. I am thankful for knowing a wonderful person and pray for your strength.

I still cannot believe what happened. Although I can say this, I love Sam and we've been close since high school. I saw him that night prior to him passing. Sam was happy that night and I thank God that He allowed me and favored me to see Sam on Friday night while out. I was able to hug Sam, laugh with Sam, smile with Sam, trip with Sam, rub that big bald head of his like I always do, and able to show him that I loved him.
You will be missed bro and I will never forget you. I will keep your family in my prayers and all will be well here on this Earth with them. Enjoy your new life because it has begun. You are only gone in the physical and will forever live in the spiritual.

To the BALLOUT Family. This news is a shock to all of us.
The untimely death of Samer Ballout is a great tragedy. We know that this is terribly shocking, but especially shocking for those who were very close to him.
An experience like this one, often challenges our values because of the tremendous pain it brings.
However, it is also an experience like this that reminds us how important our values truly are.
Somebody once wrote: “time heals all wounds.�
Something like this will take time to recover from and you must allow yourselves to go through the grieving process.
While this is something that you won't get over, it is something that you will eventually learn to live with.
