I came to know Kareem through my neices Latifah and Fatimah. Although I didn't know him very well, I have a fond memory of Kareem and his father visiting my mom in the hospital before her homegoing. May we all find comfort in the fact that "Abscent from the Body means Present with the LORD." To the family of Kareem, may you find the strength that will sustain us all in times like these in Jesus Christ. Ask not questions "why" of GOD. Glorify "HIM" The one who sent his only Son to die for us all.

Kareem, I remember all those times when your mom would drop you off at my house, since your mom and my mom were very close, Tomi and I loved your company so much, all of my family loved your company. I remember when you used to come with us to Tomis baseball games, and that time when both you and Tomi got stung by the same wasp, you guys were trying to act like it didn't even hurt lol; good times! Kareem you were and still are one of my fondest memories in life! At Henrico seeing your smile everyday in class and on the walkway made my day so much better. And having you as my D.E. partner made that class so much more fun! Though you were a goofball, you always had the right things to say when I needed it. Even when we all went our separate ways after HS you still made time to talk to me and ask me how I was doing and were still a great friend. I love you sooooo much and you will be missed. Words cannot explain how I felt when I heard the news of Kareem. He was like a son to me and I have nothing but fond memories of him and the boys hanging out at my house. I remember when Aniya was born he asked you what Aniya was to him:) You responded we are all family. And you were right. I love Kareem and all of you. Words are never enough at a time like this. Our hearts are overwhelmed with grief with the loss of Kareem. As hard as it is, God only knows and knew that we would have Kareem in our lives for such a short time. The time that he was here was a time of joy and pleasure. We can truly say that we were proud of him and that he strived to be the best young man he could. His life leaves a positive mark on every life he touched. Stay strong family. I pray that we all examine our lives at a time like this and pray and ask God for strength and also pray that we some day can leave a postive mark on the lives that we touch.
