I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since you earned your angel wings it was nice meeting you and chatting occasionally on the phone my beautiful Amazonia goddess as I often would referred you to your dad.Since you been gone Charlene your dad joined you the following year and my dad joined you both on October 24,2015 I remember telling my dad what happened he’s was a girl’s dad too.My dad talked to your father more then 3 hours over the phone giving him comfort and talking about our births and daughters political staff Obama they instantly became friends and eternal family member inviting him to our home in Tennessee told him dropped by anytime Michael give my dad and Mike a big hello and hugs for us.RIP Angel

To The Brannon Family,
I will truly miss Charlene. I was one of her first friends in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. It was like we knew each other for years; talking and laughing. Throughout the years we didn't have a normal greeting; it was hey "BIG BAAABY!" and we would burst out laughing. "We" will miss that LOUD LAUGH! My daughter misses Charlene as well from the many church activities. My parents will miss the "sargent". May God continue to strengthen you each day.

A beautiful Young lady, that I always admired and looked up too. All of our childhood days will be cherished. Our laughters, jokes, and good times always cheered up our spirits, no matter what we were going through. You are a very talent, intelligent, and brillant woman. My family and I will always love you. We will see you later!

With Love,

On behalf of the Charlotte Chapter of the Virginia State University Alumni Association I would like to extend condolences to the Davis and Brannon families.

Charlene became affiliated with the Charlotte Chapter of the Alumni Association earlier this year, and she is truly a jewel. She did not hesitate to jump right into the swing of things by volunteering to lead planning efforts and to coordinate activities, and she will truly be missed.

We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement, and if there is anything that we can do for you please do not hesitate to let us know.

Charlene words can't express the way I feel knowing I will never get another chance to talk, laugh, or hang out with you. You were a great friend who became like a sis to me. You and your family adoptd me and made me one of you. I'm so fortunate to have met you, although it has been almost 20 years I was lookin forward to 20 more but we were cut short. You left too soon. I will cherish all the memories we created from the courts at VSU (Owens..lol) to getting together every year for homrcoming we had some great times. I could always count on meeting up with u during that time. This year is going to be difficult for me not getting that call will be hard but I know u will see me thru it. I Love You Sis!! And miss you so very much. Until we meet again.
To the family stay strong know that she is in a better place. God makes no mistakes. And she wouldn't want us to mourn for long. God doesn't put more on us then we can bare so we will get thru this. I love you all.

To the Davis-Brannon Family,

Charlene started working with us at Fort Lee not too long ago and in this short time she and I had nice conversations.
I enjoyed talking with her. She grew into a very lovely young lady with great kindness and manners. I can still hear her voice and I can still see her sitting at my desk.
It has been an honor to know her and to say 'I love her' as a Christian Sister. She loved her family and that is a great gift she cherished.
All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so glad she had God in her life which we spoke of often.
She will always be with each of you as long as you keep her in your heart and speak of her for the good and kind person she was.

Good Evening Brannon Family,
It is extremely difficult to type this sympathy note and express our deepest prayers and love for Charlene. She and my wife became extremely close. I did not approach my wife during her phone conversations with Charlene. Charlene worked many hours without pay at the Fitness Ministry of University Park Baptist Church. She was such a wonderful, kind, selfess and caring person. I will miss her visits to our home. She was "Auntie Cha Cha" to my kids as well. Ann and I will ensure that our kids will remember Charlene. I do not want to make this note too long. Simply, Charlene is a special person. We love her and miss her. May God continue to comfort and be with you.
