Gladys and I worked together at C&P/Bell Atlantic/Verizon in the 80's and I remember fondly how her warm smile and sunny personality brought joy to everyone. It was my good fortune to work with such a nice and gracious person. We would all benefit if we had more people like Gladys in this world. She will be missed by all who knew her. God Bless!

Gladys is one woman that I could write a book about as she was many things to so many people. She was much more than the best mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a mentor, and role model for everyone she met and she never met a stranger. She will always hold a very special place in my heart and in my memory and I am sure she is spreading the same joy in heaven as she did on earth. I just know she is there calling everyone “darling”. Thank you Gladys for sharing yourself so freely and for raising your family to be as loving, giving and kind as you had always been. We love you all. God bless and be with you during this time of sadness and rejoicing as your loved one, and my sweet friend, is welcomed home for a glorious eternity. The Stanley's

What a wonderful lady Gladys (Meme) was. From all the summers at the Rockville pool (she never missed a meet), to all the synchro meets with the Dolpholinas and the Octopi to all her time at the University of Richmond, Gladys was a shining light. She LOVED her family more than life itself. I know this is so hard for all of you, but know that the impact she made on each of us will continue. My deepest sympathy is with all of you at this very difficult time.

Hey Y'all,

Gladys absolutely made "special memories and long-lasting friendships" throughout her life. In the 15 years I had the honor of working with Gladys she was always, every day, the most spirited and joyful person you could imagine. Nothing was more important than her family. And it showed everytime she was around Edward or her children.

I wish each of you the best in her departing and she will always hold a special spot in the memory bank.

John

Gladys was my good & loyal friend and co-worker at C&P Telephone in the early '80s. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious. I vividly recall her meeting me at the 25-mile marker of the 1983 Richmond Marathon with cold Gator-aide and shouts of encouragement that got me to the finish line. She was a most wonderful gal.
