My deepest sympathies to the Bullock family, how sad and shocked I am to hear of his passing. I was an acolyte with Murray at the Church of Ascension in Hickory. My favorite Murray moment and one that I recall on occasion to this day, is the two of us at a church youth retreat on the balcony singing The Tokens "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". I think he did the high parts while I did the "weembo waa's". I certainly treasure that memory and his friendship during our youth.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved son, brother, and father. While it has been a very long time since I last saw "Little Murray", I so well remember his wonderful, friendly and loving personna! Although he will be missed by all, at least his suffering has ended and he is now at peace and in some very dear and loving company.

To the Bullock Family my deepest sympathy and especially the Children hear these words. Lindsay, Mary, Laura and Trey hold on to the wonderful times you had with your Dad while you were growing up. He loved each of you very much. The Bible teaches us that you will have sorrow in this life but if you put your trust in God he will see you through this most difficult time. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. I know that you will miss your Dad and we will also. Know that my family grieves with you and we did not learn of your loss until this posting. I worked with Major Bullock for many years at the Innsbrook After Hours concerts. He was in charge of obtaining off-duty police officers for the events. I enjoyed working with him and seeing him every Wednesday night. He will definitely be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Murray's entire family.

Dear Bullock Family, I was a Henrico Police Officer for twelve years. It was a honor to work for and with Murray. He was an inspiration. The world has lost a great shortstop. He was truly a great person. Many a fun time was spent in our backyard.
