PASSALACQUA, Steve, age 86, born in Brooklyn, N.Y., died on Friday, July 17, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Saunders Passalacqua; three children, Stephen Passalacqua and his wife, Charity of Edgewater, Md., Maria Quintiliani and her husband, Mario of Boston, Mass. and Louisa Filiz of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Regina, Stephen, Vincent and Marina; four stepchildren, N. Leslie Saunders Jr. and Joseph Saunders of Richmond, Michael Saunders of Stedman, N.C. and Susan Saunders of Jacksonville, Fla.; and numerous step-grandchildren. Mr. Passalacqua was a World War II Army veteran and a retired employee of the State of New York. A gathering of family and friends will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Blileys-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Dale Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at Bon Air Baptist Church at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 5875 Bremo Rd., Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226.

We are so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. You and he were such an inspiration to Glenn and I. You two were the perfect "love bugs". You will be in our prayers and you know to call if you ever need anything at all.
