Margie HOBSON Obituary

HOBSON, Margie Parker, 90, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Allard Douglas Hobson. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Hobson Sutton; son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Carol Hobson; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Brenda Parker; grandchildren, Bryan Sutton, Kasey Sutton and Cary Stuart Hobson. Margie was very active in the community including positions with McGuire Women's Club, McGuire Garden Club, Southminster Presbyterian Church (72 years), including serving on the Chancel Committee, McGuire Civic Association, and a life member of the Manchester Rescue Squad, where she served as dispatcher. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Manchester Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 198, Chesterfield, Va. 23832, or Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7500 Hull Street Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235.
