COCKRELL, Mabel V., of Heathsville, died November 19, 2010. She was the widow of William G. Cockrell and a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1312 in Gloucester. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Benson of Heathsville; a son, Calvin Brown of Gloucester; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mary Ann Dunaway; brothers, Sonny Whay and Howard Whay, both of Weems; sisters, Catherine Clingan of Kilmarnock, Margaret Christensen and Dixie Settler, both of Chesterfield, Delores Neal of Tennessee; a devoted friend, Galen H. Lutz of Saluda. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 22 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Entombment will be in Northern Neck Memorial Gardens, Callao. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 21 at the funeral home.

We are so sorry to have heard about Mable passing on. We shall dearly miss her. My husband and I have known Mable and Galen for a few years and really enjoyed talking and being with them at parties and dances. We will miss her very much. God Bless all her friends and family. I am so sorry to hear Mable has passed away. I met her in the Moose and she was a lovely lady. I know her love ones and friends will surely miss her.
May you find comfort and peace in all the wonderful memories you have of her.
