William Jefferson Jr.

JEFFERSON, William Thurman Jr., 63, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of White Stone, died December 9, 2010. He was a retired grocery store manager for Safeway and Harris Teeter. He also was a house parent at the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, N.C., and Thornwell Home for Children in Clinton, S.C. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Regina "Jean" Conkle Jefferson; four daughters, Carey Jefferson and husband, Stephen Brooks, of Carrboro, N.C., Cindy Jefferson Glad and husband, Jason, of Lakeville, Minn., Kim Jefferson Lehrfeld and husband, Jeff, of Fulton, Md., Cathy Jefferson Littleton and husband, Gene, of Stem, N.C.; a son, Steven Jefferson of Hyattsville, Md.; seven adoring grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Pittman of Weems; a brother, Wayne Jefferson of Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Kilmarnock. The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at White Stone Baptist Church Cemetery, White Stone. Memorials may be made to Wake Enterprises, 3548 Bush St., Raleigh, N.C. 27609.
