John Cornwell Obituary

Mr. Cornwell was a 1983 graduate of York Academy and later became the owner and operator of Jeric Foods of Weems as well as the founding owner of River Glass in Kilmarnock. He was a member of the Virginia Seafood Council and the Lancaster County Lion's Club.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth W. Bromley Cornwell; a son, Eric Christianson "Chris" Cornwell and his wife, Chelsea, of Weems and two grandchildren, Carmen Fay Cornwell and Camden Kirke Cornwell.
He is also survived by his brother, David M. Cornwell and his wife, Patricia, of Kilmarnock.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will be in the Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery in Alfonso. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6 at Currie Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P O Box 344, Lively, VA 22507 or to Garfield's Rescue, Inc., P O Box 257, Kilmarnock, VA 22482.
