She is survived by her four children, Elizabeth Ramani Manner, David Ramani, Joanna Smith Ramani, and Katherine Ramani Metz; seven cherished grandchildren, Corinna, Bryce, Calvin, Eli, Dylan, Brady, and Tyler; and two brothers, Robert Kuehn and David Kuehn.
A lifelong learner, Susan earned two master's degrees and pursued several meaningful careers, including teacher, researcher for a subdivision of NIH, and hospice counselor. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.
Music and faith were central to her spirit. For many years, she played guitar and sang in a folk group at her church, sharing joy and devotion through song. She was also a passionate political activist, committed to justice and community, like her mother.
Susan loved animals deeply, especially her three cats who brought her daily comfort and companionship.
She will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family and community.
