Alexander Dearborn Obituary

DEARBORN, Alexander Rhodolphus III, 86, of Houston, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010. Mr. Dearborn was born in Houston, Texas on September 24, 1924. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. After proudly serving his country, he graduated from the University of the South, and received his Master of Education degree from the University of Houston. He served as the headmaster and coach at Highland School, Warrenton, Va.; St. Joseph, Boynton Beach, Fla.; Tuscaloosa Academy, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and Eutaw Academy, Eutaw, Ala. He was also member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, Ala. Mr. Dearborn was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Joan Erickson Dearborn, and survived by his son, Alexander (Sandy) Dearborn of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Mary Torrice Lawson of Richmond, Va. and Joan Dearborn Choremi of Glen Head, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Chris and Lexi Torrice and Nicholas and Janie Choremi. A private memorial service will be held in Richmond, Va. Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlors directing.
