With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Taylor Michael Conant, a man whose laughter could fill a room and whose heart was as big as the sky. Taylor, a true friend and a devoted father, passed away on April 3, 2025 at the young age of 33.
Born in Tifton, GA on June 8, 1991, Taylor was known for his infectious sense of humor, and genuine kindness! He was a UPS driver by trade, but his true passion was spending quality time with his daughter, Blakeley, being with friends and family, skydiving, and sports. Taylor graduated from Tuscaloosa Academy in 2009 where he was an excellent baseball, football, basketball player and on the track team. He went on to receive a football scholarship at Millsaps College, and ultimately decided to come home to Tuscaloosa. He then walked on the University of Alabama Football team and played for two years.
Taylor is survived by his beautiful daughter, Blakeley (9 years old); his mother, Ginger Conant; his siblings, Jennifer Harper (Rob), Brandon Conant (Rachel), his nieces and nephew, Riley Harper, Grayson Harper, Savannah Conant, and Scotlynn Conant. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Buzz” Conant.
A memorial service will be held at Magnolia Chapel South on Saturday, April 19, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to honor Taylor's memory are invited to donate to a GoFundMe account created to help alleviate the unexpected expenses of Taylor’s passing in lieu of flowers. Any extra past our goal will go towards a scholarship fund for Taylor’s precious daughter, Blakeley, who is 9 years old.
