In Loving Memory of James Scott Conant

James Scott Conant, 67, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife and children. Born on July 31, 1958, to his parents, Ralph Conant and Gail Conant, James lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family.

James leaves behind the love of his life, his wonderful and devoted wife, Esther Conant. Their love was evident to anyone who knew them. In the way he looked at her, the way he cared for her, and in the quiet, everyday moments they shared, it was clear that she meant the world to him.

He is also survived by his beloved children, Juan Tovar, Uriel Romero, Lorena Tovar, Liliana Tovar, and Maria Guadalupe Ramirez. His love only grew greater as his family did, and nothing brought him more pride than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

James was a proud and loving grandfather to Braden Tovar, Destiny Tovar, Dilan Romero, Leia Guadalupe Romero, Quetzali Gomez, Diego Moran, Jose Ruiz, and Rafael. His grandchildren brought him endless joy. One of his favorite little traditions was sharing his love of sweets with them-especially sneaking candy to his grandson when he was younger, as long as his mother wasn't looking. Those small moments of mischief and love will forever be cherished memories.

James had a well-known sweet tooth. Candy, chocolate, and ice cream were some of his greatest simple joys. If there was something sweet around, James would find it. He also loved old movies and toys, holding on to a playful spirit that made him fun to be around and easy to love.

But above all else, James loved his family deeply. His life was built around them. Whether it was through laughter, small traditions, or simply being present, he made sure the people he loved knew just how much they meant to him.

His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but his love, his warmth, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

James is also survived by three brothers and one sister, along with many extended family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Though he may be gone from this world, the love he gave so freely will remain with his family forever.
