What a shock to hear that Anne had passed away!.Central VA is just far enough away to be "out of the loop"! Just spoke to her a few weeks ago as tax season wore on. Despite pain, Anne was determined to continue working, fullfilling her promises to her clients.
In (long!) phone conversations, the topic would always return to her family and her grandchildren.
I will never drive by the "Deltaville" sign again without thinking of her fondly and the "Rivah" that she so loved!

Anne never left for Richmond that she did not let me know when and ask if I needed anything. Her drop by visits and phone calls and great humor will be missed. Her love for Quin and her Florida grandchildren was her reason for living. She talked about her children and shared her visits with them. Everything she was about was her daughter and son and grandchildren. Family was important. Her cat was a companion and she took her responsibility to care for it seriously. Hope we can all find solace in the fact we are better for knowing a lovely lady that loved living around Deltaville. Goodbye crablady. Thanks for the memories.

I am so saddened to find out that Anne passed away. I had not spoken to her for the last 3 months. At that time she gave no indication anything was wrong with her. She was always so helpfull and punctual in helping me with my taxes. In fact, Anne helped me with my books since 1991. I will really miss her charm. She was always willing to lift me up and never complained of anything. may her soul rest in peace. God be with her in her new home.

Anne was truly one of a kind. Several years ago she reached out to me at a very low point in my life, offering her support. She was so much fun to be around, and leaves a big hole in the lives of many of us.

Eddie and Ainslie my heart goes out to you.

I feel like a part of me has been yanked out. I've lost a friend, a confidant, a "sister". She was an integral part of my life. To think that it all started with Carmen Miranda and a mutual love of Jimmy Buffett. I think one of her favorite songs of Buffett was "Survive".She and I were alike in that we both pushed at our obstacles and manage some how to " survived" thru it all.

We had a great love of sailing and she was excellent sailor. I was always impressed that she was sailing at such a young age and winning trophies! We always had a great time on our sailboats. Anne was the best "Galley Queen" ever aboard all the Banana Winds. Her cooking is renown both on land and sea.

I am so thankful I was able to spend the week after Easter with Anne. And I talked to her last Friday (4/16), she was looking forward to so much this year and scared at some things too. The last thing we told each other was " I love you".

Your Mom had her faults but she loved you guys immensely.

Anne was a very loving and giving person. I think she was happiest when she had a house full of people to cook and care for. Anne loved her home in Deltaville. I'm glad she was there when she past, surrounded by it's beauty, the loving memory of her Mother and happy time with friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

Anne lived across the street from me when I was growing up. Her sister, Margaret and my sister, Betty use to play together. I haven't seen or talked to Anne in years but I will always remember those wonderful times we shared as children and am saddened to hear of her death. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
