DEW, Annette VanIngen, 90, of Richmond, Virginia, departed this life on December 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklyn Dew Sr.; her son, John Franklyn Dew Jr.; and her grandson, Jonathan Dew. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Dew Murdock; and her son, William Randolph Dew. Mrs. Dew had 11 grandchildren, Joseph Christopher Shue and wife, Michele Lee Bassett, Adrienne Murdock Burdsall and husband, Lloyd Edward Burdsall, Franklyn Peter Shue and wife, Kathleen Camack Toler, Carl Woodson Murdock III and wife, Cheryl Elizabeth Murdock, Pamela Morgan Wright, Charles Avery Murdock, Michael Jon Dew, Stephen Johnny Dew, Joshua Shumond Dew, Matthew Franklyn Tran and Melissa Vivian Tran; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at St. James's Episcopal Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Maymont Foundation.

Annette and I became friends through Beta Sigma Phi. She was a very dear lady and will be missed by all of us.

Annette was one of the most devoted members of the Richmond International Folk Dance Group. She attended every meeting and always had a smile on her face. She was an inspirational to us all and will be deeply missed.
