KAMERMAYER, Arthur Stuart, 80, of Richmond, Va., was born and grew up in New York City. He died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, following a recent illness. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Kamermayer; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Peter Oberg; his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Angela Kamermayer; and three grandchildren, Scott Oberg, Allison Kamermayer, and Ryan Kamermayer. Art received his undergraduate degree from St. John's University and graduate degree from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Art was licensed as a school psychologist, reading specialist, and a special education teacher. He spent his professional career as the Assistant Director of Child Guidance of Bloomfield Public Schools in Bloomfield, N.J., as an instructor for the Department of Psychology at Teacher's College, Columbia University, and as the Supervisor of the Reading Clinic at Columbia University. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. Memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Hospital Foundation, 2924 Brook Road, Richmond, Va. 23220, or the charity of your choice.
