Barbara Jean DEFFELY

DEFFELY, Barbara Jean, of Colonial Heights, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Ilda Boatman Adams, and was preceded in death by her son, William Deffely. Barbara was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and St. Ann's Choir. Survivors include her husband, Joseph James Deffely Jr.; daughter, Teresa Ann McKay of Colonial Heights; four sons, James Joseph Deffely and wife, Reginia, of Brookline, New Hampshire, Michael T. Deffely and wife, Teresa, of Delta, Ohio, Robert Charles Deffely of Colonial Heights, Paul Anthony Deffely and wife, Iris, of Doswell, Virginia; two sisters, Nancy Stocker of Ottumwa, Iowa, Ruth Boltz of Pueblo, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 7 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with Father Lou Ruoff officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. The funeral procession will leave St. Ann Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 for interment at Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon, Virginia.
