CLARK, Belle Lawrence "Granny Belle," 90, of Martinsville, Va., died August 24, 2010. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born January 9, 1920 to Bob and Hope Lawrence, Belle retired from Pannill Knitting Co. She enjoyed playing cards, country music, Wheel of Fortune, licorice jelly beans, Kit Kats, and had a special fondness for butterflies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Douglas Clark; one sister and four brothers. Belle is survived by six loving daughters and three sons-in-law, Barbara C. Bowling and Donnie of Fort Mill, S.C., Judi C. Finney and Amon of Ridgeway, Va., Joy M. Clark of Martinsville, Faye C. Walsh and Marty of Colonial Heights, Va., Cathy A. Clark of Richmond, Va., and Pamela S. Clark of Martinsville; one sister, Bettie L. Miller of Folsom, Calif.; four grandchildren, Donna Bowling, Larry Cope, Dana Honbarrier and Lance Merriman; four great-grandchildren, Abby Cope, Cannon Honbarrier, Emily Cope and Victoria Dean; several nieces and nephews; two granddogs, Bella and Boyd; and numerous friends whom she loved, laughed with and enjoyed. Interment was in Roselawn Burial Park. Arrangements handled by Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Services, Martinsville, Va. Memorials may be made to FURS, 3420 Pump Road, Ste. #228, Richmond, Va. 23233 or SPCA of Martinsville and Henry County, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy., Martinsville, Va. 24112.
